Also, Dec. 4 will be the last chance to bring your donated books for the Holiday ROAR campus-wide book drive to benefit underprivileged children in San Joaquin County. Books in Spanish are especially needed. Get together with your unit, department, residence hall or club and donate books on topics you're passionate about, or pick a book from the recommended book list. Books also available in the University Bookstore.

ROAR book driveYour donations will benefit Reach Out and Read (ROAR) San Joaquin, a local nonprofit that works with pediatricians to give books to needy children and their parents during checkups and encourage parents to read to their children. ROAR Volunteers also work with families to make them feel more comfortable reading with their children. Holiday ROAR is aligned with the Beyond Our Gates early literacy campaign.

Don't miss the fun!!
