Special Presentation on Feb. 7--Online and Hybrid Learning: Reaching the Adult Learner
The Center for Teaching and Learning and the Benerd School of Education are cohosting a special presentation on the importance of adult learners and online or hybrid programs for the future of Pacific. Dr. Mary Pearson, vice president for Academic and Curriculum Affairs at HotChalk, is an industry leader in supporting adult learners in online environments and will do a brief presentation for campus leaders on Thursday, February 7 from 4 to 5 p.m. the Don and Karen DeRosa University Center, Ballroom B.
Dr. Pearson holds a Ph.D. in Special Education with a minor in Law from the University of Kansas, and serves as a legal advocate for individuals with disabilities. She is an active adjunct professor for the University of San Francisco, teaching education and research courses and supervising student teachers. In 2010, Dr. Pearson was presented the Excellence in Education Award for exemplary dedication to teaching at the University of San Francisco.
