Seattle Rap Artist Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to Play at PacificHit singer Ryan Leslie to Open the Show
Seattle rap artist Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will headline University of the Pacific's annual student Spring Concert, it was announced today. Opening for the hit duo will be musician and record producer Ryan Leslie.
The show will be held at Stockton's Civic Auditorium at 8 p.m. March 28. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets for students in the community go on sale tomorrow at noon.
"Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won by a landslide in our student poll earlier this year, so we are excited that he has accepted our invitation to perform in Stockton," said Jamie Barnes, the Arts and Entertainment Commissioner for ASUOP, Pacific's student body government. "What makes this performance so exciting is the fact that both artists performing are independent."
Tickets for Pacific students will cost $15, and for students in San Joaquin County who aren't enrolled at Pacific, they will cost $20. Student tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the Don and Karen DeRosa University Center on Pacific's Stockton campus. A student ID will be required to purchase.
Tickets for the general public will go on sale Friday, Jan. 18 at noon at http://pacific2013.brownpapertickets.com. Those tickets will cost $30.
