New staff promotions and realignment in Alumni RelationsLast week, Vice President for Development Burnie Atterbury announced important staff changes in Development and Alumni Relations.
Bill Coen appointed Assistant Vice President of Alumni Relations
Bill Coen, executive director of Alumni Relations, has been promoted to assistant vice president effective February 1. As assistant vice president of Alumni Relations, Coen will provide leadership in the development of new programing, enhancing the relationship between Alumni and Development in preparation for the upcoming campaign. A key responsibility in this new role will be the launch of a Lifelong Pacifican Alumni Engagement Campaign. This three-part program will include a biannual leadership summit, a 14-month alumni engagement tour and an ongoing Lifelong Pacifican discovery program. He will continue to provide leadership and guidance to the Pacific Alumni Association Board of Directors and serve on the Divisional leadership team.
Coen has worked in the alumni relations field for thirty years and joined Pacific thirteen years ago. At Pacific, Coen has been a key leader in the development and ongoing success of the Pacific Alumni Association. He oversaw the reorganization of the Alumni Association Board in 2002 and championed the recent addition of the Alex and Jeri Vereschagin Alumni House, completed in 2011.
Kelli Page Appointed Director of Alumni Relations
Also effective February 1, Kelli Page '87, previously assistant director of alumni relations, assumed the role of director of Alumni Relations. As alumni director, Page will provide leadership for the Pacific Alumni Association Board of Directors and the Alumni Relations staff. Her responsibilities will include guidance and support of Alumni Relations programs for Pacific's Schools and Colleges and budgetary oversight for program operations. She is committed to continuing to develop creative programs which engage alumni in support of the University's mission.
Page has 16 years of Alumni Relations experience, all with Pacific. As an alumna, she is deeply passionate and committed to the University, our students and her fellow alumni. She was instrumental in the completion of the Alex and Jeri Vereschagin Alumni House and is responsible for numerous upgrades to the Alumni Association awards program.
New position created
A new position is also being added to the Alumni Relations department. The Director for Alumni Engagement will report directly to the Assistant Vice President and will be responsible for the development and execution of the Lifelong Pacifican Engagement Campaign. This position will join the Alumni Association's team in supporting the Alumni Association Board, serve as a collaborative partner with Development, and oversee a team of student volunteers to enhance engagement with new alumni leadership and donor prospects.
