Nominations open for Cavanaugh Distinguished Service Awards

Mar 28, 2013

Continuing in the Pacific tradition, this spring the University will recognize two staff members on the Stockton campus that have made significant and meaningful contributions to Pacific.  The Cavanaugh Distinguished Service Award will be awarded during the annual Staff Years of Service Luncheon on Wednesday, May 15, to two staff members (one exempt, one non-exempt) who have contributed to Pacific's vision, mission and values.

The award recognizes exceptional accomplishments, leadership, innovation and service to the University community in ways that make a substantial difference in the quality of work-life, the student learning experience and/or customer service.   The nomination period is April 1 through April 24, 2013.  All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit nominations.  Nomination forms must be accompanied by at least two, but no more than three, letters of support from members of the University community.  Nominations will be reviewed and recipients chosen by a selection committee comprised of past award recipients.

The recipients of the Cavanaugh Distinguished Service Award will receive a check in the amount of $500, an "A" parking permit for the following academic year, an award plaque, and a photo and feature article in the Pacific Insider.  Please contact Sally Coleman in Human Resources at 209.946.3907 for additional information.
