Pacific's women's basketball team set a new school record Saturday, February 23, setting a new program win record with its 21st victory of the season and moving to first place standing in the Big West Conference. Picking up two additional wins last week, they are now at 23-6 overall and 13-4 in the Big West.

With each new game, the Pacific women's basketball team are setting new program records for wins since they downed UC Riverside 74-66 on Saturday, February 23. With the win, Pacific improved to 21-6 overall and moved to first place in the Big West with 11-4. The previous program record of 20 wins was set in in 1980-81 (20-7) and matched once more in 1994-95 (20-15).
Three seniors scored in double figures during the record-breaking game, which was Senior Day, a special game day honoring seniors. Kendall Rodriguez '13 turned in a double-double, with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Erica McKenzie '13 grabbed 15 points and Ashley Wakefield '13 added 15 points.
The Tigers continued the charge on a road campaign last week, with a 59-53 win over Long Beach State on Thursday and defeating UC Irvine 65-53 on Saturday. With one more game to finish up regular season league play at UC Davis on Saturday, March 9, Tigers are on their way to their first regular season championship. The Tigers have secured a place in the post season Big West tournament Pacific No. 1 at 13-4, followed by Cal Poly at 12-3 and Hawa'ii at 11-5.
The Tigers will wrap the Big West regular season at UC Davis on Saturday, with a 4:30 p.m. tip-off in Davis.
