Annual Emergency Drill June 12

Jun 5, 2013

University of the Pacific's annual emergency drill is slated for the morning of Wednesday, June 12, on the north part of the Stockton campus. This is a test of procedures that may be put into action should there be an emergency on campus. This is only an exercise.

Faculty, students and staff may notice emergency vehicles on campus during the exercise, as University and city first responders and the Pacific Alert Team run through the annual drill. The purpose of the exercise is to give emergency workers a chance to practice what to do during an emergency and to identify any problems that might occur in the event of a real emergency.

The simulation is expected to be finished by noon. The drill may include a test of the emergency speaker system, which was initially tested May 31.

We apologize for any work disruptions this may cause, and appreciate your understanding that this is being done to make Pacific a safer environment for students, faculty and staff.
