OIT continues to bring network services online (Updated: 5:14 p.m., Aug. 8, 2013)
Building on success and hard work over the past few days, University of the Pacific's Office of Information Technology continued to bring more network services and systems online overnight and throughout Thursday.
By the end of the day Thursday, many of the systems and services - including insidePacific - were online.
Crews will carry out a controlled outage 9:30-10:30 p.m. Thursday in order to restore certain systems at McGeorge School of Law. Faculty and staff email to be unavailable for about 30 minutes during that time and the network connection at McGeorge will be intermittent for several seconds.
Contact the CSC Help Desk at 209.946.7400 if there are issues. Calls received after 10:30 p.m. will be addressed by the Help Desk in the morning.
OIT has several services and systems that are still affected, including:
- Student Core (Some Residence Halls aren't connected.);
- Some websites are not working yet;
- Wireless PacificPro and PacificNet are up, but not PacificGuest;
- Internet may appear slower for now.
And for students and parents trying to make payments on time, the Stockton campus Student Accounts Office has extended the Aug. 1 payment deadline to Thursday, Aug. 15, due to the system outage. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work toward ensuring that the needs of every one of our students and parents are addressed.
