GOLF HEADED TO PULLMAN, WASHINGTON FOR THE NCAA REGIONALS
On the heels of their 2013 Big West Championship title, the Pacific Golf team landed the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament and a place in the Pullman, Wash. Regional. The Tigers will head to the tournament for the second time in three seasons. This will be the Tigers' 15th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Joining the Tigers in Pullman are: Cal, TCU, USC, St. Mary's, Virginia Tech, BYU, North Texas, Baylor, San Diego State, Ball State, Memphis, Princeton, and St. Francis (PA).

EDFORT, SUGIMOTO, AND METH TAKE HOME ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS
With the completion of the regular season, the Big West announced its all-conference awards for the 2012-13 season as the Tigers received three postseason awards. Led the entire year for a young Tiger squad, Pacific's three veterans played their way onto the All-Big West postseason teams led by senior Alex Edfort and sophomore Eric Sugimoto taking home first team honors while sophomore Byron Meth earned honorable mention status. Edfort's selection was his third career all-conference award and second straight first team honor while Sugimoto and Meth each earned their first postseason recognition. Congratulations Tigers!

ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM UPGRADE
Our athletic training room got a nice upgrade yesterday with the installtion of a brand new PolarZone cold therapy tub, thanks to the generosity of many donors including current and former athletic trainers, team doctors, parents, friends, staff and student-athletes!
MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR FORMER REGENT JIM MCCARGO TO BE HELD ON MAY 10
A memorial service for Pacific Alumnus and former Regent Jim McCargo will be held on Friday, May 10 at 2:00p.m. in the Alex & Jeri Vereschagin Alumni House on the Pacific campus.
Jim was a standout basketball player for Pacific for four years (1969-73) and was inducted into the Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame in 1988. He was a starter on Pacific's NCAA Tournament team in 1971 and still ranks 11th on Pacific's all-time scoring list with 1,308 career points. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law from the College of the Pacific in 1973. He made his home in Stockton until last year when he returned to his hometown of Oceanside, Calif. Jim passed away on March 30, 2013, at the age of 62. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim's family.
