|The Season Starts Tonight For Women's Soccer
It all begins tonight as the women's soccer team hits the field for their one and only scrimmage of the preseason as the Tigers take on Grand Canyon at 7:30 pm. The Tigers hit the field for their final tuneup to the 2013 season with a new look offense and a ferocious defense that will turn heads and make the their WCC foes think twice about coming to Knoles Field. Come and check out this years team as admission to all home soccer games is free of charge for the 2013 season.
Field Hockey Takes To The Pitch On Saturday Night
Led by new head coach Andy Smith, the 2013 Tigers will head out onto the turf for the first time in the new year on Saturday night as Pacific scrimmages Cal in Berkeley, Calif. The matchup will pit Smith and his Tigers against his former team as the Bears play host to Pacific at 7:00 pm at Maxwell Family Field. The contest is the first of two exhibition games for Pacific in the preseason as they will also take on UC Davis on the 22nd in Berkeley. The Bears' home field will also be the Tigers' home field this season for four contests as Pacific will play off campus for the entire season as fundraising efforts continue to build a new turf field on campus. Sandwich Night With Tiger Volleyball On Friday Night
With the 2013 season fast approaching the Tigers' women's volleyball team will host their annual Sandwich Night for fans and boosters of the program. Come out to the Spanos Center on Friday, Aug. 16 to catch a glimpse of the 2013 Tigers as they put on an open practice for fans at 3:00 pm before a meet and greet at 5:30 pm. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided after the practice as players and coaches will spend time with the fans in attendance. Get to know the Tigers before they hit the court for the first time on Aug. 30 at the Virginia Tech Invitational. Pacific opens its home schedule on Friday, Sept. 13 when the Tigers play host to UC Riverside, Winthrop, and San Jose State in the 35th Annual Bankers Classic.
Pacific Men's Tennis Summer Update
The month of August has been a busy month for the Pacific Men's Tennis team. As the summer season begins to come to a close, many of the Tigers are competing to start the new year on the right foot. Big West Freshmen of the Year, Sem Verbeek, just won his third tournament at the Kattenlaan Open 2013 in the Netherlands. Along with that, Ben Mirkin closes out the ITA Summer Circuit Championships by winning the consolation draw, defeating the #4 seed from Alabama in the three sets. ...
