2013 Begins With A Trip To The Hokie Invitational
With the new season upon the Tigers, Pacific heads across the country to take part in the Hokie Invitational at Virginia Tech to begin 2013. Playing four matches in two days, the Tigers will see action against St. Francis (PA), Virginia Tech, Towson, and No. 14 Michigan State. The new year brings new hopes and new expectations for Pacific as the team begins anew as members of the West Coast Conference. The Tigers will look to prove themselves early with their best chance to show that they belong among the WCC elite when they take on the Spartans of Michigan State to end their stay in Blackburg.
Heard Completes Transfer To Pacific Women's Basketball
Forward Marjie Heard will join the Pacific women's basketball team after completing her transfer from the University of Washington, head coach Lynne Roberts announced Wednesday.

Field Hockey Season Begins Sunday
The Tigers will hit the turf on Sunday, Sept. 1 for the first time in 2013 as they take on Michigan State. The Tigers and Spartans face off at 2:30 pm from Palo Alto, Calif. on the campus of Stanford University where the Tigers will be playing half of their home schedule. On Monday, Pacific heads to Berkeley, Calif. and the campus of Cal to take on Missouri State. The second game of the season will take place at 11:00 am.
Cross Country And Soccer In Action Over The Weekend
For the first time in 2013 the Tiges' cross country team will make an appearance on the trail as Pacific runs at the USF Invitational in San Francisco, Calif. The team will run three races before getting their first real look at their new conference competition at the WCC Preview on Sept. 14.
Also in action this weekend in the Pacific women's soccer team which comes home for the first time this season after a weekend on the road to open the 2013 season. The Tigers dropped a pair of contests on the road at Missouri and Kansas last weekend but will be in top form at Knoles Field on Friday night. Pacific, along with UC Davis, is hosting the Pacific Community Soccer Classic this weekend as UC Davis and Iowa kick off the tournament at 4:30 pm on Friday while your Tigers will take on Drake at 7:30 pm. On Sunday, the team takes on Iowa at 11:00 am while Drake and UC Davis meet in Davis, Calif.
