Pacific Cross Country Returns To Malibu For WCC Championships

Oct 31, 2013

The Pacific Cross Country team will compete in the WCC Championship meet beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Alumni Park in Malibu, Calif. The race, hosted by Pepperdine University, will be the first in league history to feature 10 teams, with the Tigers joining the conference for their inaugural season this fall.

Pacific will rely on sophomores Becky Grabow (Carson City, Nev.) and Lindsay Wourms (Camas, Wash.) to set the pace this weekend. Wourms set a school record of (22:15.24) in the 6K on the same course at the WCC Preview meet in September, while Grabow finished just behind in 22:49.07, good for third in school history at the 6K distance.

The Tigers, who last competed on Oct. 19 at the Bronco Invite, are looking to finish the season strong and break personal records at the meet.

The entirety of the championship event will be streamed live on The W.tv, the official digital network of the WCC. Additionally, fans can access the live video broadcast through the WCC YouTube channel.
