Guest lecturer Rick Hutley, vice president of global innovations at Cisco Global Innovations Group, will be the speaker for a special lecture on innovative technologies at 3:30 pm on October 14 in Ballroom A of the Don and Karen DeRosa University Center. His lecture, is free and open to the public. There will be a reception following the lecture. (Parking will be available for the event in all "B" parking areas near the DeRosa University Center after 2:30 p.m.)

Rick Hutley is vice president for the Cisco Internet Business Solutions Group, leading the rollout of technology-based business and IT solutions to enterprise and service provider customers globally. His work is focused on how the Internet of Everything will drive innovation and transform business operations and profitability over the next decade. Hutley has extensive experience in successfully guiding some of the world's largest and most complex customers in their use of technology throughout the Internet era. He is now using that experience to help companies navigate the transition from the Internet age to the age of the Internet of Everything, including their use of 'Things', Big Data and Analytics to drive innovative customer experiences, employee productivity and new business models.
Hutley holds an honors degree in computer science from Hatfield University, UK, and an MBA from Cranfield University, UK. He has appeared on BBC Television's series on computing and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars.
