Three Tigers Advance At Saint Mary's Invitational

Oct 11, 2013

The Pacific women's tennis team began play at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Friday, Oct. 11, at the Korth Tennis Complex.

Juniors Hana Ritterova and Regina Suarez and freshman Cristina Sáenz de Buruaga each picked up singles wins and advanced to the second round of their flights.

"After getting a slow start in doubles the Tigers came battling back in singles," said Head Coach Charlotte Scatliffe. "Freshman Cristina Sáenz de Buruaga came out firing and did not drop a game in her first round match. Also posting impressive wins were Hana Ritterova and Regina Suarez both with straight set victories. The ladies will look to improve tomorrow with doubles matches to start the day followed by the main draw and consolation singles."
