Pacific Heads To Hornet Jamboree, Pepperdine Invitational

Sep 12, 2013

On the heels of a solid performance last week that saw Pacific send runners to both the UNR Twilight Classic and Crystal Springs Invitational, Pacific will again send separate teams of runners to two events on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Pacific saw solid performances from Jessica Guerra and Dale Dong at Crystal Springs while Megan Hall, Becky Grabow and Lauren Nakaso paced the Tigers to a 2nd place finish under the lights in Nevada.

This Saturday, Pacific will send a team to the Hornet Jamboree 5K in Sacramento, Calif. at Granite Regional Park.  This race will serve as a chance for some Pacific runners to adjust to race conditions against a mixture of schools across divisions and conferences. Last year, California and Fresno State tied for the event title.

Another team of Tigers team will head to Southern California and the Pepperdine Invitational in Malibu, Calif. The race will serve as a preview of the course that will host the WCC championship in November.

Pacific will again be on the course on September 21st when they travel to the Mills Invite in Oakland.
