Tigers Pick Up Six Wins At Saint Mary's Invitational On Second Day
The Pacific women's tennis team continued play at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Saturday at the Korth Tennis Complex in Moraga.
Junior Hana Ritterova advanced to the semifinals with a win over Stanford's Lindsay Kostas. She dropped a tough two set loss to Julija Lukac of Washington in the semifinals. Junior Iveta Masarova won both of her matches on Saturday as well, as the Tigers picked up six total victories. Masarova advanced to the semifinals of the back draw with her two victories. Sophomore Christiana Ferrari and junior Regina Suarez both won their morning matches in the main draw to advance to the quarterfinals, but were both unable to come up with the win in the afternoon.
"There were victories all over the board for the Tigers today," said Head Coach Charlotte Scatliffe. "It was very exciting to see Hana play to her potential today and I really think this is just the beginning for her. I'm excited to see what she brings for her match tomorrow and hope she can continue to build off of a great weekend thus far. It was exciting to see Hana play to her potential today."
