United Way Campaign update and prize winners announced
The drawing for the Colin Kaepernick autographed football and framed poster was held on Dec. 16. Everyone who turned in their pledge form by that date was eligible for the drawing. Congratulations to Erica Haynes in Development who won the Colin Kaepernick autographed football and Peter Rodriguez in OIT who won the framed Colin Kaepernick poster. And thanks to all who have contributed so far to United Way through University of the Pacific's annual campaign.
As of January 9, we have raised $110,694.11 in contributions and pledges, which is 92% of our goal of $120,000, with a participation rate of 27%. In order to allow more time to meet our campaign goal, we have extended the campaign closing to February 14.
Like University of the Pacific, United Way relies on the donations of people like you and me to fulfill its mission to improve lives in our community. United Way has accomplished many wonderful things in our community over the years, solely because of the collective generosity individuals like each of you.
Take time now to complete your pledge form and turn it in for inclusion in this year's campaign. We need you to help us reach our goal. You can make the difference!
If your pledge form got lost in the shuffle of end of semester and pre-holiday chaos, please contact your campaign coordinator or email Lorena Quilenderino at firstname.lastname@example.org for a new form.
Two be two more drawings for participation incentives. When the final pledges are tallied, everyone who has made a contribution will be eligible for a drawing to win a "B" parking pass for 2014-15. There will also be a drawing for a framed Colin Kapernick jersey, donated by Andy Prokop of United Way.
Your contribution can be in any amount, and every contribution helps, no matter the size! Remember, any 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization can be designated and your donation will go to that organization. If you already donate to a favorite charity, please consider making your donation through the Pacific United Way Campaign. Donations can be made as a one-time gift or through a monthly pledge, and the payroll deduction option makes it even easier!
Thanks again for all that you are doing for Pacific, the United Way, and our Community.
