Chris Goff appointed Assistant Provost for Diversity
Chris Goff, associate professor of mathematics, has been appointed Assistant Provost of Diversity. Goff will oversee all University diversity activities in the Academic Division, including the implementation of the Faculty Diversity Hiring Plan and assisting faculty in incorporating diversity and inclusion in the curriculum. He has been a long-standing member of the Gender Studies Board, served as a faculty advisor for the Pacific PRIDE Alliance, and was the co-chair of the planning committee for the first regional LGBTQIA conference at Pacific. He has also served as the chair of the Academic Council. Goff will officially begin the position in August.
Eileen Camfield appointed Writing Center Director
Eileen Camfield has been appointed Director of University Writing Programs. Eileen has served as the interim director of University Writing Programs for 2013-14, strengthening the Writing Center, working with schools and departments to infuse more writing instruction in their curricula, and leading the faculty development for, and assessment of, the new PACS 1 Plus sections. She has taught writing and Mentor and Pacific Seminars since 1997 and currently is completing her Ed.D. with the Gladys L. Benerd School of Education.
