Open forums for University Ombudsperson candidates

This week, Pacific will host campus visits by the three finalists for the Ombudsperson position. This position was created in response to a joint resolution of the Academic Council and the Staff Advisory Council, in order to provide an informal, neutral and confidential resource for faculty and staff to help with conflict resolution. 

Each candidate will present at an open forum for all three campuses (Library Community Room in Stockton, HR Training Room in Sacramento, and Huddle 310 in San Francisco). The open forums will take place at the following times:

  • Candidate #1: Monday 11/17, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Candidate #2: Tuesday 11/18, 3-4 p.m.
  • Candidate #3: Thursday 11/20, 3-4 p.m.

You may send your comments on each candidate directly to search committee chair Chris Goff (cgoff@pacific.edu), who will make the comments anonymous and compile them for the search committee's consideration. Comments are due by Friday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m. 

You may peruse the CVs of each candidate by joining the Sakai site named "Ombudsperson (Ombuds) Candidates," and looking in the Resources folder. Each CV will be made available at 7 p.m. the night before that candidate's visit. You can reach the Sakai site here.
