Sep 16, 2014

Prepare. Plan. Stay Informed.

The month of September is also national personal preparedness month. Are you prepared for an emergency?

Visit to for helpful information on building your own basic emergency supply kit for your family. Items listed in the kit include water (one gallon per person per day for at least three days), food (three-day supply of non-perishable food with can opener), battery powered radio with extra batteries, flashlight with extra batteries, first aid kit, whistle to signal for help, dust masks, moist towelettes, garbage bags and plastic ties for personal sanitation and wrench/pliers to turn off utilities. Find out more information about maintaining your kit, storage locations, car kits and water storage at under the tab Build A Kit.

With National Prevention month in full swing, consider signing up at Baun Fitness Center on the Stockton campus to keep fit and healthy.  They have options for individuals at every level of fitness and equipment for cardiovascular exercise, a weight training area, a racquetball court, a cycling studio, yoga and Zumba classes, a 36-foot rock climbing wall and more!  Check out The Ambush for more information and how to enroll at Baun Fitness Center.
