New faculty and staff and notable changes

New Employees

Kristine Block is an Academic Budget Analyst in the Provost Office.  

Tara Bunag is a senior instructional designer in the Center for Teaching and Learning.  

Richard Ford is a Coordinator of Facilities and Conference Services in  Housing and Greek Life.  

Janel Ludwig is the new web content specialist in the Office of Marketing and Communications. She began the new position on Jan. 12. Ludwig brings experience in web writing, search engine optimization, training and social media. She recently worked at Google, helping improve the content and search ranking of the company's job postings. Prior to that, she worked as an online content specialist for Become, Inc., writing lifestyle articles for sites in the UK and US. In her new role, Ludwig will join the web communications team in overseeing the University's web presence. Her main responsibilities include creating and editing web content, assisting CMS users with web-related questions and managing the University's social media channels.  

Lauren Miller Lauren Miller, previously acting director for International Programs at Hollins University, has been appointed assistant director of International Programs and Services. She began the new position on Jan. 05, 2015. As assistant director, she will recruit education abroad participants; develop school, college, and faculty-specific education abroad opportunities; assess students' education abroad experiences; maintain international partnerships; and serve as an immigration official. In her position at Hollins, Miller oversaw education abroad, finances, and immigration. She previously served as the Hollins Abroad Admission Officer, recruiting students to study abroad on Hollins' programs in London and Paris. Prior to Hollins, Miller was an associate project analyst with The Columbia Group, a federal services support company. She also interned at the international offices of Georgetown University and Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea.   Miller earned a B.A. in Psychology from University of Toledo, studied at Spain's La Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, and obtained an M.A. in International Training and Education from American University.     

Elizabeth Rotticci is a Conference Services and DeRosa University Center Coordinator in Student Life.      

Notable Changes  

Briana EzzellBriana Ezzell begins a new position as assistant dean for development in the Eberhardt School of Business on Jan.16. Ezzell first joined Pacific on Dec. 1, 2012, as the director of development for the Brubeck Institute, having previously held a similar role with KVMR radio station in Nevada City. Her new campus extension will be 209.946.2998.  

Jaclyn Long has been promoted to administrative assistant III in support of Principal Gift and Campaign efforts. Beginning Jan. 16, she will report to Bill Johnson and will work closely with the staff to effectively support principal gift strategy enhancements. She first joined the Development team on Jan. 10, 2011, as an administrative assistant II supporting the Corporate and Foundation Relations and Brubeck Institute Development team members. She will continue in her current office, but her telephone extension will be changing to 209.932.2826.
