Mar 16, 2015

Pacific is one of the founding partners in a new initiative to support change in the way students are prepared for college and for the 21st century global technology economy and workforce.

UniteSF was announced March 4 by San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee at the annual meeting of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Pacific President Pam Eibeck participated in that announcement, providing the introduction for an address by the head of global talent for LinkedIn, Pat Wadors.

UniteSF includes partners such as UCSF, San Francisco State University, the University of San Francisco, Golden Gate University, LinkedIn, Comcast and other corporate and
nonprofit groups.

In one of its first events, UniteSF is working with the National College Leadership Council to present a student and business leadership roundtable in San Francisco this morning, March 17. ASuop President Serena Welch '16 will participate with other San Francisco college students and business leaders in a discussion of educational experience and career preparation of students in the Bay Area.
