Farewell reception for Rich Rojo, Associate VP for Communications

Jun 9, 2015

There will be a farewell reception for Richard Rojo, Associate Vice President for Communications, on Thursday, June 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Regents Dining Room. Rojo is leaving the University June 19 to begin a private consulting practice.

The University community is invited to join President Pam Eibeck in expressing appreciation for his more than seven years of service and wish him well in his new endeavors.

During his time at Pacific, Rojo led the 2011 redesign and upgrade of the University website, conducted a comprehensive study of the University's brand and reputation and created its first strategic message platform. He has directed University communication efforts for major initiatives and events, including President Eibeck's inauguration and inaugural events, Beyond Our Gates, the athletics move to the West Coast Conference, the announcement of the $125 million Powell gift, the launch of new academic programs in San Francisco and Sacramento, and the Pacific 2020 strategic plan. He has increased the size and capacity of the Marketing-Communications department, helped establish more sophisticated internal communications, greatly increased the University's implementation of digital marketing and improved cross-unit collaboration for marketing and communications efforts.

Rojo will continue to consult on several ongoing projects.
