United Way campaign enters final three weeks

Nov 16, 2015

Contributions are still coming in for the Stockton campus United Way campaign and many thanks to those who have contributed so far. As of last Friday, the tot board shows $48, 715.12 in pledges and donations, which is not quite halfway to our goal of $110,000.

Many local organizations are counting on our support to make it possible for them to accomplish the incredibly important work they do every day to help those in need — feed the hungry, provide educational enrichment, physical and mental health services, and provide so many resources that make our community a better place to live. As we approach Thanksgiving, we reflect on how much we have to be thankful for. What better time to stop to think about those less fortunate and share our abundance with those in need.

It has been an extraordinarily busy fall for all of us, and your pledge form may have gotten buried in the piles of work on your desk. As we go into our final weeks of the campaign, I urge those of you who have not yet pledged, to dig out your forms or go online through insidePacific (see instructions here) and update your pledge for the coming year.

Remember you may contribute to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Gifts or pledges of any amount are important. Through our combined efforts we can make a significant difference in our community.

Thanks and happy Thanksgiving to you and yours,

Steve Whyte, University Events Manager2015 United Way Campaign Chair
