Parking and traffic alert: Advancing Women's Leadership Forum Friday, Oct. 23

Oct 19, 2015

Parking on the Stockton campus will be heavily impacted on Friday, Oct. 23, due to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's appearance at the Advancing Women's Leadership Forum. Public Safety anticipates that as many as 3,500 attendees may use campus parking lots.

Doors for the program at Alex G. Spanos Center and the simulcast at Faye Spanos Concert Hall open at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 23. Attendees will be arriving as early as 7 a.m.

Lot 2 (adjacent to Kjeldsen Pool) will be blocked off for busses delivering high school students and media vehicles covering the event. Lot 3 (off Mendocino Way and south of Athletics, Pacific Resource Research Center, and Psychology/Communication; north of Jeanette Powell Art Center; and adjacent the GeoSciences Center and the Robb Garden) will be closed until 9:30 a.m.

Please note that parking also will be greatly impacted on the Pacific Avenue side of campus from 7 a.m. to noon due to the simulcast of the program in Faye Spanos Concert Hall.

If you can walk, bike, carpool or take a bus to campus next Friday, please do so. To improve chances of finding a campus parking spot, commuters should arrive before 7 a.m.

Tickets to the event at Alex G. Spanos Center are sold out. Tickets to the simulcast at Faye Spanos Concert Hall are still available at the Pacific Box Office (209.946.2UOP) or Additionally, a video of Justice Sotomayor's keynote address will be posted on our website the following week.
