September is all about produce, fruits and veggies that is. You have likely heard the "5 a day" slogan, but is that really enough? 

While five servings of produce can improve your overall wellbeing, new and larger studies now show that five may not be enough. The USDA is now saying more like seven to 13 servings of fruits and vegetables a day are better for optimal health. 

Fruits and vegetables provide essential nutrients that are vital for health and maintenance of the body.  Besides keeping your body energized and feeling great, produce is mostly low in fat and has no cholesterol.  They are also loaded with potassium, dietary fiber, folic acid, and vitamins A and C.
