Current and Emeriti Faculty (and their guests) attend Homecoming and Family Weekend events for FREE.

Homecoming and Family Weekend is an exciting time for the entire Pacific family, as we come together and celebrate our Tiger spirit. This year's celebration is planned for October 16-18. Once again, the Provost's Office is offering free admission to Homecoming and Family Weekend events for current and emeriti faculty, as well as their guests!

Review the entire weekend schedule and register online at by choosing the "faculty" role when prompted. You may also call the Alumni Relations Office at 209.946.2391 to make your reservation. The deadline to register online is October 14. We look forward to your participation!

Q: Isn't Homecoming ONLY for the alumni and students?

A: Quite the contrary. Homecoming is for the University. It's all about reconnecting and celebrating the University. It makes current student feel they are a part of a legacy, and reminds alumni why they chose Pacific. When you participate in Homecoming or any other University activity, it communicates your University pride and desire to maintain lifelong connections to other attendees. When you're excited about being here it becomes infectious! Spread the happiness.

Q: As a faculty member, what difference will it make if I'm participating in Homecoming? I mean, is there really a purpose?

A: You are responsible for the most exciting things that happen on campus. Sharing those stories with others truly makes an impact on how our campus is perceived. Plus, alumni are looking for you! Survey results indicate that the chance to reconnect with faculty is one of the top three reasons most alumni attend Homecoming! Also, parents and families of current students will be attending events throughout the weekend and students would love to introduce their professors to their families.

Q: How can I participate in Homecoming?

A: Besides attending events, you can wear your orange and black or Pacific alumni clothing. You could post department alumni photos or the schedule of events up on your office door. If you are a Pacific alumnus/a, you can invite your classmates to attend. Or simply talk about the Homecoming events with students — which is something we hope everyone would do! Lastly, you can "like" the Pacific Alumni Association page on Facebook to get information about the weekend in your Facebook newsfeed.

Q: Which events should I attend?

A: Faculty attendance is encouraged at all advertised events. The best opportunities for casual interactions with alumni happen at Friday night's Food Truck Frenzy and Taste of Pacific on Saturday evening. Alumni celebrating a reunion year (classes of 1975, 1985, 1990, 2005) will be found at the Champagne Brunch on Saturday at 9am to hear from President Eibeck. Bring the family out for the parade along the Miracle Mile on Saturday at 1 pm, and the volleyball game that night at 7 pm!
