Whole Foods Co-CEO Walter Robb has given University of the Pacific a $400,000 gift to triple the footprint of the Ted and Chris Robb Garden, named after his sons, and create the Abigail Robb Plaza. in honor of his daughter. A separate gift from the Bon Appétit Management Company will help create an accompanying native garden.

"It looks good for (San Joaquin) County," said Jeff Michael, director of the Center for Business and Policy Research. "Job growth is strong; wage growth is decent, but not as strong as job growth."

Bethany College Names New President Bethany College officials today named the Rev. Dr. Tamara Nichols Rodenberg as its new president, effective Jan. 1. Rodenberg becomes Bethany's 20th president and the second woman to hold the top post in the institution's 175-year history. Earlier in her career, she was an adjunct professor at Claremont School of Theology, San Francisco Theological Seminary and the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif.
