Interim Dean Named for Eberhardt School of Business
Provost Maria Pallavicini is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. David Dauwalder as Interim Dean of the Eberhardt School of Business, effective January 9, 2017. Dr. Dauwalder will provide continued leadership for the Eberhardt School of Business when Lewis Gale steps down from his position as Dean at the end of this semester. Gale will return to faculty in fall 2017 after a spring semester sabbatical.
Dr. Dauwalder has served as Dean of the School of Business and Economics and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Central Washington University and as Acting Dean of the School of Business and Economics at California State University, Los Angeles. He most recently was Executive Vice President and Provost and Interim President at Woodbury University in Southern California where he served from 2013 until June of this year. Prior to Woodbury, he was Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic and Student Affairs at University of New Haven in Connecticut, and Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at California State University, Stanislaus. He has also held faculty positions at each of these institutions.
Dr. Dauwalder holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education and a Master of Arts degree in Education from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. He will serve as interim dean for 18 months during which a national search will take place for a permanent dean.
