Recently, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Pacific (OLLI@Pacific) received notification and approval of a $25,000 capacity-building operating grant for the 2016-2017 academic year from The Bernard Osher Foundation.

This grant is intended to support initiatives that enhance the fiscal health of the endowed Osher Institute and expand its membership and service to the community.  With the financial aid of this grant, OLLI@Pacific intends to initiate a donor recognition and cultivation program as well as a volunteer recognition and cultivation program.  Additionally, OLLI@Pacific intends to increase its  fundraising activities and enhance current program and membership development efforts.

OLLI@Pacific offers members a rich array of learning opportunities designed for adults 50 years of age or better who have a strong desire to seek intellectual stimulation.  OLLI@Pacific members are interested and excited to experience new and creative ways of self-expression, explore new ideas with peers, take an active part in shaping the world around us, and build new friendships in the process.

Through this grant and ensuing staff efforts, OLLI@Pacific members will experience enriched academic educational opportunities through their involvement in a robustly engaged senior learning program and community at Pacific.
