Pacific to conduct university-wide inventory and assessment of university-owned art

Jan 28, 2016

University of the Pacific is embarking on a collaborative effort to locate, identify and assess all fine art and collectibles. The goal is to protect and preserve the University's art collection and to maximize its educational use.

Dr. Andrea Roth of Roth Fine Art Appraisals has been engaged to compile a comprehensive inventory of University-owned fine art on and off the three campuses. Andrea and her team will visit each campus for an initial one-day assessment, beginning with the Stockton campus on Jan. 27, 2016.  Dates for Sacramento and San Francisco campus assessments will be confirmed in the near future.  Detailed schedules for the actual inventory process will be shared once confirmed.

The nature of the project will require access to all spaces where art may be on display or stored, including private offices and conference rooms, basements, storage areas and public spaces.

Pacific's Enterprise Risk Management office will call affected offices in the near future to coordinate access and schedule appropriate timing for minimum disruption of service. For questions about this process please e-mail: stk riskmanagement@pacific.edu.

Thank you for your help to protect and preserve Pacific's art collection.
