The Faculty Research Committee is seeking applications for the following internal funding opportunities:

Scholarly/Artistic Activities Grants (Deadline: extended to this Friday, March 25)
The Scholarly/Artistic Activities Grants (SAAG) are intended to assist faculty members in their pursuit of professional goals related to scholarship and research. Support is provided for both ongoing projects and initiation of research in new areas.  

Holmok Cancer Research Grant (Deadline: March 25)
The Otto J. Holmok Endowment was established to fund research proposals that relate to cancer. Proposals may be submitted by an individual or by a team of researchers who are faculty members. Open to researchers from all disciplines on the Stockton campus. The proposals can deal with any aspect of cancer research ranging from the study of origins, to the diagnosis, to the methods of treating cancer patients.   Hoefer Prize for

Student-Faculty Research/Creative Projects (Deadline: March 25)
The purpose of this prize is to encourage, recognize, and reward the "teacher-scholar model for faculty which supports teaching and student learning as the primary activities while recognizing scholarship and research as vital to that enterprise" This prize exemplifies Pacific's commitment to teaching and learning in all of its academic endeavors. The prize recognizes outstanding performance in a joint student-faculty research/creative project. The prize is awarded to a faculty member(s) and an undergraduate student(s) for work on a single research or creative project.

Monthly Funding Workshops Continue CANCELLED
On March 31, the OSP will present the next of its monthly workshops to promote the development of strong proposals, to address new federal changes that will affect the submissions you make this year and to support grant/contract administration. Click here for the complete workshop schedule.  

AANAPISI Funding
The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education has opened a competitive grants program for Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) to provide funds to improve and expand institutional capacity to serve Asian Americans and Native American Pacific Islanders and low-income individuals. Pacific's AANAPISI designation was recently renewed, making us eligible to apply.  The application deadline is April 22, 2016.   

Types of projects allowed under this solicitation include education and counseling services for students; curriculum development; classroom improvements and equipment purchases. Click here for a complete list of types of programs and the full program announcement. Research Day - Abstract Submissions Now Being Accepted
Pacific's Annual Research Day is coming up April 30, on the Stockton Campus, and abstracts. The deadline for submissions is April 11. Please encourage faculty, staff and students to think of presenting their research to the University community. Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring Award
April 4 is the deadline for nominations for this award, the purpose of which is to recognize a faculty member for excellence in the mentoring of undergraduate researchers. The recipient must be a tenured or tenure-track faculty member for whom the mentoring of undergraduate researchers has been a significant activity.
