Safe Trick-or-Treat needs your help

Individuals or departments may sponsor trick-or-treat stops, a carnival booth, donate a costume or just volunteer to help out
Sep 28, 2016

It's that time of year again! The 18th Annual Safe Trick-or-Treat event is coming to campus on Oct. 26 from 4-7 p.m.

Pacific's largest community service activity is designed to provide a safe environment for families to enjoy trick-or-treating. During the event, members of the Pacific community will hand out candy to children ages 3-11 as they pass through campus office building and residence hall-sponsored trick-or-treat stops. From there, participants will be invited to a carnival hosted by Pacific's very own clubs, organizations and athletics teams. Last year, an estimated 4,000 children and adults took part in the trick-or-treat tours and carnival.

Trick-or-treat stops will be open at various locations starting at 4 p.m. with information booths located at the Burns Tower, Atchley Clock Tower, Southwest Lawn (between Southwest Hall and McCaffrey Center) and the northeast corner of the DeRosa University Center Lawn. The carnival will be held on Knoles Lawn and the DeRosa University Center Lawn. All Pacific faculty, staff and students are welcome to bring their families and children to this free event.

We need your help!!

Costume donations
The Division of Student Life is also collecting donations of new or gently used Halloween costumes and/or costume accessories (all sizes, especially adult, but nothing too scary) that will be distributed to families in need through the Transitional Learning Center, Haven of Peace and Gospel Center Rescue Mission.

Children and their families have been invited to attend the Pacific's Safe Trick-or-Treat Night on Wednesday, Oct. 26.  With your support, these donations will ensure that every child will be included in this Halloween celebration.
