United Way Campaign Chair Stacy McAfee invites participation in Pacific's 2017 campaign

University of the Pacific is pleased to announce our annual United Way campaign for 2017 has now officially launched as of Oct. 3 and will extend through Dec. 5.

The United Way Campaign allows our entire Stockton campus Pacific family to come together to demonstrate our commitment to our community by partnering with United Way to support the many nonprofit organizations that work in myriad ways to meet the profound needs in our region. As each of us joins this campaign and gives what we can, our collective efforts will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people of San Joaquin County.

Please join the United Way's effort to change lives in our community. As you consider your pledge, it is important to remember that you may designate any 501(c)(3) charitable institution beyond those traditionally served by United Way to receive your gift. There are a variety of ways to give, either by one-time gift, annual pledge and payroll deduction. For those renewing their Pacific United Way pledge through payroll deduction, you may do so online through insidePacific (see instructions below).

If you have not already received them, you should soon be receiving information packets with pledge forms for this year from your unit's campaign coordinator. Below is a list of coordinators for the 2017 United Way Campaign. If you have any questions about donating or the campaign, please contact your unit coordinator or my assistant, Cheryl Mack, at cmack1@pacific.edu.

Instructions for renewing your payroll deduction pledge through insidePacific:

  • Login with PacificNet ID and Password
  • Click 'Administrative' tab
  • Click 'Click here to:' under the heading Administrative Services
  • Click 'Employee'
  • Click 'Benefits and Deductions'
  • Click 'Miscellaneous'
  • Scroll down to United Way and click Update located to the right
    • Change status to 'Active'
    • Change effective to '01/01/2017'
    • Employee amount-enter amount to be deducted from each paycheck
    • Employee limit-enter annual amount (paycheck deduction amount multiply by 24 paychecks)
    • Click submit changes
    • Click the Link to Pledge form to allocate your donation. (You will need to know the address of the organization you wish to support. The online form offers the option to allocate your donation to up to two nonprofit organizations of your choice.)
