Pacific Women's Tennis: Tigers Power Through Regional Tournament
Widjaja defeated Molly Aloia of St. Marys 6-2, 6-1 and Nezhura handed Stanfords Jennifer Yen a loss in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.
Also picking up wins were Christina Goehl (Karlsruhe, Germany) and Sasha Fisher (Southampton, Bermuda). Goehl worked through Cals Catie Visico quickly, 6-0, 6-1, but Fisher had a tougher time with Kelsey Knight of Eastern Washington University.
After winning the first set 6-3, she could not hold onto the second and fell 4-6. Fisher then outlasted Knight in the third set 6-1 to win the match and join Goehl in the round of 64.
