The Center for Professional & Continuing Education is proud to announce it's new Osher Lifelong Learning Director Judy Janes!

Welcome to OLLI @ Pacific.  I am delighted to join you as we embark on another year of exceptional programming.

The OLLI @ Pacific program has flourished under the leadership of Jim Nims and grown into a program that 600 local seniors enjoy annually.  I look forward to working with the Board of Advisors to bring you the inspirational and informative programming you've come to expect.  Several board members share a long history of being active in lifelong learning dating back to when the program was known as the Pacific Experience. 

Having been an OLLI resource board member for the past five years, I appreciate what is required of the director, both from the ancillary site perspective and the interaction with instructors, members, and board volunteers. 

For the past six years as Resident Services Director, I've been responsible for the program planning for independent living at O'Connor Woods Retirement Community.  My work there and with other non-profits including St. Joseph's Foundation required planning events, managing funds, public relations, detailed reporting, grant writing and working with volunteers.  

Some of the youngest people I know are in their 90's, still curious, active, social, and involved.  They inspire me.  We can all take a lesson from them- learn - simply for the joy of it!  Whether you choose to satisfy your curiosity by attending a lecture, taking an outdoor hike to learn more about agriculture and wildlife, picking up a paintbrush, writing your life story, being active in Tai Chi or Yoga, or enjoying the rhythms of symphonic music, OLLI @ Pacific has something for you.
