Introduction to Screenwriting

1 Academic Unit $158
Take a class from a Pacific Staff member completely online! Screenplays are a fascinating, challenging medium for writers, and not just because they’re a blueprint for a movie or a television show. The best screenplays direct the action on the screen from the typewriter. Over a six week period you’ll cover core concepts behind a good screenplay (tight story, believable characters, and snappy dialogue), and how to do it professionally. If you have an idea for a short film, are already at work on a feature, or want to write an episode for your favorite TV show, this class will get you started! *Does not fulfill Film Studies major requirements, does not fulfill G.E., not available for credit if you have taken Engl 115. BOOK REQUIRED.
