Advanced Skills for Businesses and Organizations

Find out what goes on behind the scenes on Facebook Pages and how to increase the chances that your message is seen and acted on. Discover new tools and proven techniques to increase business and expand your reach. Discuss how to adapt your marketing message for the Facebook platform and how to integrate Facebook across all marketing areas. This is an advanced class and assumes you have started a Page on Facebook and have some basic knowledge of the platform.

Unit 1
Designing Your Facebook Page to Be a Marketing Platform
-Optimize Facebook’s settings and features to improve branding and find-ability
-Discover applications that are necessary to get the most out of your Page’s design
-Develop your own customized landing pages to increase business and fans
-Discuss case studies and update your Facebook marketing strategy

Unit 2
Sharing Content on Your Page that Increases Brand Engagement
-Understand the elements in the share bar and how to more effectively use them: status, photos, links, tagging, etc.
-Discover top sources for Page content that increases engagement and grows your fan base
-Develop your own editorial calendar and learn if a team approach to posting and responding will work
-Learn the best practices for bringing in your own content from other sites like Twitter, blogs, YouTube, etc. and the applications that simplify and automate those tasks

Unit 3
Engaging with People on Facebook for Marketing and Customer Service
-Learn how Facebook decides which of your messages makes it into your fan’s newsfeed
-Discover how to get your fans involved in promoting your business
-Develop a mobile strategy to engage on the go and take advantage of Facebook’s local features
-Discuss critical social media policies to have in place for your business and understand Facebook’s rules so you don’t get blocked or disabled

Unit 4
Promoting and Advertising Techniques to Increase Business and Expand Your Reach
-Learn how to use Facebook ads and decide if they work for your business goals
-Discover the best way to use features like events, contests, badges, email, like buttons, etc. to bring your Facebook message to a wider audience on the web
-Learn to analyze the content and marketing campaigns with Insights and analytics and discover what keeps people coming back to your page
-Create a community and professional development plan to continue learning once the class ends
