External Funding Sources
As you begin planning your research, service or creative project and anticipate the need for external support, contact the Grants and Research Specialist, 209-946-7716, for help in identifying prospective sponsors. The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) provides guidance in external funding resources.
Self-searches can be conducted using the links to the left and the links below.
Pivot, a system of Community of Science (COS), compiles pre-populated researcher profiles and matches them to current funding opportunities in the expansive COS database. Users can search for a funding opportunity and view faculty from inside or outside Pacific with similar interests. Because Pacific just subscribed to this service, all faculty members should be added into the system within the next 90 days.
Sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, GrantsNet is a free database containing federal and private grant opportunities in the biological and medical sciences.
The Foundation Center database offers public access to funding opportunities from foundations worldwide. This service is only available from the Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship.
