Award:

Travel Grant
(Individual $1,500, Group $3,500)
Faculty can submit proposals for full or partial reimbursement for travel to conferences or workshops that focus on improving teaching and student learning. CAPD will fund part or all of costs including registration, travel, and lodging. Preferences will be given to requests showing additional funding from other sources. The grant may not be used for student travels or field trips.

Small Project Grants
($1,500, Group $3,500)
Faculty can request support for the development or acquisition on innovative materials for teaching in discipline-specific or interdisciplinary courses. This includes classroom or protocol based research on learning, assessment of learning, using new or innovative techniques or materials to introduce class concepts, or training of faculty on new techniques or class materials.

Rupley-Church Grants for International Understanding
(Max $3,000)
The purpose is to support faculty development projects that increase understanding of international issues across the university. This may include but is not limited to projects that promote a faculty member's understanding of international issues including curricular enhancement, professional activities, or travel. Priority is given to those projects that promise to have the widest impact on the university community through dissemination to other faculty and students.

Hoefer Prize for Leadership in Experiential Learning
($2,000 depending on funding)
The purpose is to encourage, recognize, and reward faculty members who have achieved a record of outstanding contributions to an undergraduate academic program through the development and supervision of internships or other extended experiential learning opportunities.

Eberhardt Teacher-Scholar Award
(up to 5 awards of $2,000 in partnership with FRC)
This award recognizes exemplary teaching and scholarship. Proposals are reviewed by both CAPD and the Faculty Research Committee. A joint recommendation is sent to Academic Council, who makes the final decision(s) and notification.
