Why did you decide to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Food Studies?
I am interested in directing my administrative, culinary and public service experiences into the non-profit food assistance sphere.

What topic have you found most compelling in your studies?
The nexus of non-profit and academic activism.

What is one of your favorite San Francisco food experiences?
One?  Ack.  So many!  Here's one:  It's Friday night at 5:30 and I've secured a barstool and a delicious cocktail at Nopa, anticipating a seat at the chef's counter where I'll chat with the chef/expeditors while watching the cooks do their chaotic magic as we eat.  This old routine rarely disappoints.

Ok, here's another:  I love a good weekday morning shop at the Mission District vendors on East 24th Street, including my favorite, La Palma Mexicantessan.

How do you envision putting this degree to work?
I look forward to contributing to the efforts to reduce and eventually eliminate hunger in San Francisco.
