Discover Health, Exercise, and Sports Sciences
At Pacific, students secure a foundation in the sport sciences along with a solid liberal arts education. In addition to acquiring a broad base of knowledge and intellectual skills, students can specialize within our four areas of concentration.
Regardless of the specific path you choose, we offer many opportunities for learning and research outside of the classroom, often through our faculty members who are active in the community.
Exciting experiential learning opportunities are available in our major and concentrations: Athletic Training, Sport Management, Health and Exercise Sciences, and Sport Pedagogy. These are non-classroom real-world experiences that integrate theory with practice. They include varied opportunities within:
- Intercollegiate athletics
- Physical therapy clinics
- Professional sports
- Elementary, middle and high schools
- Orthopedic clinics
- Recreation programs
- Event Management
Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to participate in ongoing research with Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences faculty. Students are involved with everything from data collection and analysis to presenting and publishing. Several of our students have presented research findings at local, regional and national conferences.
