Tara Morton-ColtTeaching Philosophy

Dancing is the expression of inner feelings, joy, happiness, sadness, and love. To truly dance, and dance well, is to translate and become the emotion while making your audience know, feel, and experience it.

Regardless of experience, whether professionally trained or new to dance, my goal is to provide an individualized experience where each student develops and improves their own understanding of dance, core strength, and techniques.

I encourage students to build upon the key concepts and fundamentals of dance with a focus on vocabulary, technique, application, fundamentals of alignment, and proper form. Each student should develop as a performer and choreographer, paying close attention to the tools needed in creating and performing as well as the concepts involved in productions.
