Athletic Training Education Program Receives 7-Year Accreditation

Sep 17, 2009

The Athletic Training Education Program, offered through the Department of Sport Sciences, just received a 7-year accreditation award from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). At the time of the program's accreditation review this was the maximum number of years awarded by CAATE, and the program is now accredited through the 2017 - 2018 academic year.

"We are very pleased to have received this award from CAATE," said Jodi Baker, Director of the Athletic Training Education Program. "It speaks volumes about the program and the effort of so many who collaborated together during this accreditation review process."

The Athletic Training Education Program provides an academic and experiential learning environment for students who desire to become Certified Athletic Trainers.
