College of the Pacific Holds 6th Annual Faculty Recognition Banquet

Apr 28, 2010

The College of the Pacific held its 6th annual Faculty Recognition Banquet on March 16, 2010, in the De Rosa Center Ballroom. The event was to honor this year's recipients of the Corson and Spanos teaching awards as well as the College's faculty who received promotion and tenure this academic year.

Dr. Thomas Krise, Dean of the College, led the program and introduced each of the honorees. "It is important for us to step back and celebrate our accomplishments. The dedication, tremendous effort and investment in time that has led each of these faculty members to excel in their fields should not go unnoticed."

Special guests included the Corson Award benefactors Reverend John E. Corson, former Pacific Regent, and his wife Sylvia Bradbury Corson, who were joined by their son Tom Corson, as well as retiring Provost Dr. Phil Gilbertson and his wife Carole Gilbertson, who works in Advancement Services. In addition, the families of the teaching award recipients were invited to attend the festivities.
