Message from Physics Chair at the CERN Large Hadron Collider: March 30, 2010

Dr. James Hetrick in ItalyDr. James Hetrick was on sabbatical in Italy for the Spring 2010 semester. In between sipping cappuccinos, he managed to work in the theoretical physics division at CERN in Geneva, where the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) is located. He was there for the big event on March 30, when scientists conducted the highest energy collisions ever achieved. He shares his excitement in this message to Physics majors and friends. Read his full message here!
