Substitutions

It is anticipated that students entering these programs previously may have taken some equivalent courses in music education or professional education. Students may substitute purposeful electives for those courses, with consultation and authorization from the advisor. Course substitutions might be made from advanced work in therapy or special education, music specialty areas such as conducting, literature, or applied music, or upper division coursework leading to proficiency in a required area, a second teaching area, or the Clear Credential.
