Erin Finkelstein

Erin Finkelstein is active as a chamber musician having performed with the Pacific Clarinet Quartet, Vapor Ensemble, Pacific Arts Woodwind Quintet and the City Water Ensemble. She also performs frequently with numerous orchestras in northern California and Nevada including the Modesto Symphony, Sacramento Philharmonic, Stockton Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic, Monterey Symphony, Santa Cruz Symphony, and the Reno Chamber Orchestra. Erin has also participated in several summer festivals including the Carmel Bach Festival (California), National Orchestral Institute (Maryland), Domaine Forget Music Festival (Canada), and the Bear Valley Music Festival (California).
As a passionate teacher, Erin maintains a large private studio in Davis and Sacramento and has given master classes to hundreds of music students. She currently teaches clarinet and chamber music at California State University, Stanislaus and previously was a guest lecturer of clarinet and chamber music at the University of the Pacific. In addition, Erin is also the clarinet instructor at the Sacramento School of Music. She received a B.M in clarinet performance from the University of the Pacific and a M.M. from Arizona State. Erin is a Feldenkrais® practitioner and gives lessons in efficient and intelligent movement education to musicians.
