Larry Honda

Larry Honda is a member of the faculty at Fresno City College where he teaches woodwinds, theory, music appreciation, and jazz improvisation. As a clarinet major, he earned a B.A. in music from Fresno State, and a M.M. from the University of Southern California where he studied with Russell S. Howland and Mitchell Lurie.  He has performed with the New York City Ballet Orchestra, Ventura Symphony, and Santa Barbara Symphony.  Mr. Honda currently performs with the Fresno Philharmonic, Orpheus, and the Jazz Composers Orchestra. He is also a jazz and woodwind clinician and has directed public school honor bands in Tulare and Fresno/Madera Counties.
