Artists-in-Residence: Trio 180
The Trio 180 (formerly New Pacific Trio), in residence at the Conservatory of Music, is quickly gaining recognition throughout the United States. This talented ensemble is made up of celebrated concert violinist Ann Miller, Grammy-nominated cellist Nina Flyer, and award-winning pianist Sonia Leong.
Trio 180 calendar of event 2012-2013...

The 2012 season brought the celebration of Trio 180's tenth anniversary, with a gala concert featuring the world premiere of Gothic Sea by Reinaldo Moya, commissioned for the occasion. Performances in 2012-13 include appearances on Pacific's Resident Artist Series, a concert at the Mondavi Center at UC Davis, and a residency at San Francisco's Old First Concerts, in which the group will present trios of Felix Mendelssohn, Clara Schumann, and Robert Schumann, as well as interactive lectures entitled "Inside the Piano Trio". In addition, noted Bay Area composer Robert Greenberg has agreed to write a new work for Trio 180, to be premiered in the 2013-14 season.
